| Dr. Angela SutherlandDirector & VeterinarianDr Angi is a much loved and highly regarded Veterinarian in the Central Highlands. She is a Canadian turned Australian who originally graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 2005. She has been leading the Maraboon Vet Group for 13 years as both Director and Head Veterinarian. Dr Angi 18 years experience both a Mixed Veterinarian (2 years) and as a Small Animal Veterinarian (16 Years), having developed a diverse skillset across Canada, American and Australia. She was a travelling locum vet and University student teacher in Australia during 2010, where she found a new place to call home (and a husband) in Emerald. Dr Angi and her husband Alec Sutherland, purchased the existing Maraboon Vet Surgery in October 2011, which was a humble 2 vet small animal clinic. Since then Dr Angi and Alec have built the Maraboon Vet Group. It is now a comprehensive animal care service with 2 Small Animal Practices (Emerald and Blackwater), 1 mobile large animal service (2 fully equipped mobile vet trucks) and the Central Highland's first Pet Resort (Emerald). They have plans to open a large animal hospital in mid 2024. Dr Angi was missing her large animal roots as she spent her childhood growing up on a cattle and cropping property in Canada. Most of her childhood weekends were showing horses, with her very talented Mother, who was a Multi award winning Canadian Barrel Racing Champion. Dr Angi drew upon her youth and led the Maraboon Vet Group into Large Animal Practice. With a passion to bring Maraboon Vet Group's renowned customer service and modern veterinary practice to all the animals in the Central Highlands, MRVS purchased its first mobile large animal vet truck. Now offering full equine and cattle veterinary services to the extensive agricultural and livestock industries in the Central Highlands, Dr Angi's dream has come true.
